Rock Music Camp at Sugar Sand Park Community Center is designed to teach young musicians how to effectively learn songs, play in a band and produce and write their own music. The camp includes lessons and performances on all rock n roll instruments and provides an opportunity to develop new skills, meet like-minded musicians and experience popular music the fun way!

Students will learn and professionally record a popular song and produce a music video, as well as write and produce their own song.  Everyone will learn drums, bass, keyboards, and electric guitar, and everyone will sing! During the performances and lessons the young musicians will concentrate on their favorite instruments and students will also experiment and be introduced to jazz band instruments such as saxophone, trumpet, trombone and clarinet. Everything is provided, but students are welcome to bring their favorite instrument it will be incorporated into the program.

Students will learn the basics of style, stage presence and videography and will be introduced on how to use their own tools to learn songs, write and produce music and videos and have a professional photography shoot done during the week.

Our instructors include a vocal coach, a recording engineer and Palm Beach County music teachers, all of whom are professional musicians.

Important notice!! The program is not designed for absolute beginners, students must be prepared with some experience in music or theater. Once registered our instructors will touch base with you regarding song preferences and experience levels to better plan your week. If your young musician has taken music lessons on any instrument (such as piano, guitar, drums, violin, vocals) and has an interest in performance or the technical side of music (such as recording or making videos) they will succeed and thoroughly enjoy the Rock Music Camp! Every person is different but if they have a love and interest in some aspect of music, Rock Music Camp will help find a place for them to flourish whether it’s as the lead singer, bassist, guitarist, keyboardist or the recording engineer!

Residents $250 for the 5 day week 8:30-4pm, non-residents $312.50
